WELCOME TO OUR ALPACA RANCH!

Located in Littlestown, PA

We are located in Adams County between Gettysburg and Hanover and are the home to an adorable and high-quality herd of AOA registered alpacas. We breed and raise alpacas for resale and for their fantastic fleece! It’s extraordinarily strong and amazingly soft –  a hand-spinner’s dream wool. QCAR Alpaca Gift Shop

September – January: Always open online.

Come on by we have Walk in shop hours Wednesday –  Saturdays  10:00 – 3:00

Our Alpaca Gift Shop features all things alpaca. Most famous are the alpaca socks which could have some of QCAR alpaca fiber in them as we contribute to the NEAFP and they use the alpaca fiber to make the socks we sell. Alpaca fleece, alpaca roving, alpaca blends, alpaca yarn. Alpaca hats, alpaca scarves and more can be found in the Alpaca Gift Shop at Quarry Critters Alpaca Ranch.  Most of our items are made in the USA.

We contribute our alpaca’s fiber to the NEAFP (New England Alpaca Fiber Pool) and to the Pennsylvania Yarn Project sponsored by PAOBA (PA Owners and Breeders Association) and some of our alpaca fiber is sent to family owned mini mills to process into yarn, roving and rug yarn.

Some of Quarry Critters Alpaca fibers are hand processed by Julie. Julie uses the Kromski spinning wheel and looms that are sold in our gift shop and online. Kromski is a family in Poland that makes these very nice fiber equipment. Julie makes these alpaca fibers into luxurious wearable apparel, such as hats/beanies, mitts and scarves.

Some items sold in the alpaca shop come from Peru. Peru is home to the original alpacas, before they were imported to the USA. We show our support by purchasing some items from Peru. The blush alpaca stuffies come from Peru, some scarves of quality, hats, gloves and some socks.
